Pledge to Peace

On Friday 21st September the municipality of Beltinci  (Slovenja) has celebrated the World Day of Peace. During the event a tree has been planted, withe doves were let free in the sky and excepts on peace have been read. The tree was planted by  the Mayor mr. Matej Zavec together with members of the Association Dimek Beltinci. The Brussels Declaration "Pledge to Peace" aims to stimulate, by subscribing to the Declaration of Intent, any kind of initiative and action aimed at promoting peace processes. Each Signatory is encouraged to inform the Secretariat (info@associazionepercorsi.com)  about their initiatives on the occasion of the United Nations  International  Day of Peace  which will fall on 21 September 2012....

Moscow, Russia - June 29, 2012 -  «Слово о мире»  The event "Notes on Peace" was held at the Library of Foreign Literature, an important center for cultural and international relations. The event, sponsored by Synergy - University of Business and Finance of Moscow,  and the Ismail Akhmetov Foundation, was held in front of an audience of academics and University students. After the impressive performance of a sonata by Tchaikovsky, the Rector of the Sinergy University , Professor Uriy Rubin, talked about the history of the young University and its  interest for peace. Rome, June 1st, 2012 - As part of the "Pledge to Peace", the Convitto Nazionale School "Vittorio Emanuele II " organized a meeting with the Hon. Gianni Pittella, the 1st Vice President of the European Parliament, on the following themes: -Diversity and Legality (Path to citizenship education extended to the European dimension) -Peace and Prosperity, the founding values of the European Union. Monday, November 28, 2011 - "Peace and Prosperity - the Founding Values of the European Union" - The Lectio Magistralis by Prem Rawat is followed by the signing of the "Pledge to Peace", a declaration of intent that commits the signatories - representatives of the European institutions, non-profit organizations, universities, public and private organizations - to promote and develop initiatives of peace in Europe, for a society based on human dignity, well-being, solidarity, equality and freedom among peoples. The Pledge to Peace initiative is sponsored by the First Vice-President of the European Parliament, Hon.
